Lisa Cuddy is a character portrayed by actress Lisa Edelstein on the television show House M.D., which ran for 8 seasons from 2004 to 2012. Edelstein left the show after the seventh season and the character was written out and did not return. The character's life after stepping down as head of the fictional Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey is unknown.

Cuddy is depicted as a confident woman with no problem giving orders, and as one of the few capable of dealing with Gregory House's antics, although most of the time House seems to win and she is **** to compromise. She is otherwise a well-respected authority in her profession, as well as sometimes taking a hands on approach when dealing with patients in unique circumstances. During her time on the show she had a back and forth romance with House, and she also frequently expressed a desire to be a mother, either through artificial insemination or adoption.

Cuddy is depicted as an attractive 38 year old (45 in her last appearance) woman of Jewish decent, with dark hair, wide hips, and great breasts, qualities that are sometimes referred to both mockingly and/or earnestly. She is known to be confident with her sexuality while still remaining professional, having no issue flirting or acting standoffish, and even wearing a thong to work in one episode.
