Lily interrupts. There's big news

"I was just looking for you." Both you and Violet turned as Lily rounded the corner. "Violet tell Adi to set the stove to automatic and meet me over in the common room. I've got an announcement to make. Shandra, come with me." She said, leading you away while Violet went back into the kitchen to relay Lily's instructions. It wasn't long before the three of you were gathered in the common room, sitting on a couch while Lily was in an armchair opposite of you. She leaned forward and began.

"As of two weeks ago, shortly after the fight where I got you, the Directorate started a full mobilization. Originally it was thought that it was going to be a campaign against Asgard and the Vikings but it turns out it has to do with a situation that's been developing from the Catorcian Alliance. The Queendom of Avalon's ruler decided to step down. Queen Genevieve has a rather perverse sense of humor and a strong libido so she never declared her heir. To that end, she's decided that she wants a contest of **** to determine who will come after her. She arbitrarily decided that her successor had to be a vaginal virgin. That cut down the number of claimants to 24. Those 24 each have to raise an army and go out to gather slaves, the one who comes back with the most slaves and her virginity wins the throne. This is where you come in Shandra. We've signed a defensive treaty with the Directorate just an hour ago. We probably would have done it sooner but General Mira came out very heavily against it and she has friends in the Directorate's council. In any case, all Raid Leaders are beginning to gather crews and raiders. Helga has requested I join her again. Unfortunately, I can't go. This is going to last more than three months and we're going to need a new group of raiders to replenish our losses." She looked at you and Adi.

"That's why I wanted to give the two of you a chance to go in my place. I need representatives until I can join the fight." She leaned in. "Shandra if you decide to fight, you've got control over your own body. It does come with the risk that you'll get captured and have your time reset but I promise that any slaves you capture are yours. I'll transfer them to you when you leave. If you need I'll put that in writing." You trusted her word on the matter but didn't have time to say so before she continued. Her voice softened as she focused on her daughter. "Adi. I know how you feel about this. You know it wasn't your fault. You need to understand that. Will you fight for our home?" For the first time, you took a good look at Adi's face, Lily's question had obviously terrified her, her knuckles were practically white on the arm of the couch as she gripped it. Still, she nodded. Then she got up and left the room. Lily watched her go, a sad expression on her face as she turned to you. Obviously coming to a decsion.

"Shandra, I want someone there to take care of Adi. I'll respect your decision to not volunteer as a fighter but I need you on that ship with her. She'll need someone to be friends with. I'm not asking you to have sex with her, like I said your body will be your own, but she might need someone to talk to. I want you to be that person. Let me know by tomorrow if you're willing to fight with us."
