Lie

"It won't..." Ethan lies, or at least he thinks he's lying.

Charlie nods, then quickly sips her beer. "Okay. Good. I mean," she averts her eyes, "Good to know, I mean... Anyways..." Charlie downs the rest of her beer, "Do you wanna... Maybe... Join Sam and Ashley?"

"Huh?" Ethan feels something in the mood shift.

"Just to, you know," she shrugs, "Ease the mood a little?"

Sighing, Ethan gets it. Frankly, he does feel a little bit of tension. Glancing over at the other two, Ethan considers his options.
