Lie
So, I did the only thing I could think of, I bluffed, "Of course child. I shall come for you again in three days time."
"Then, will you make me like you, grant me the eternal youth of the undead?"
"Uh, we shall see. You must prove yourself… worthy," I answered, my **** laden brain trying to make this believable.
Fortunately, she was either equally drunk or just very naive, as she said, "Anything, mistress! I'll do anything to please you; anything to prove myself worthy of the gift!"
Which was definitely my cue to leave and she allowed me to get up and depart without saying anything, but looking like a child who just saw Disneyland.
I quickly left Masque, swearing never to return. True to form, a taxi was waiting nearby and I prayed the driver wouldn't notice any blood as I told him the name of the hotel.
By the time I entered my room, I was on the brink of tears. I stripped off my dress and climbed into the shower, turning it nearly scalding hot. As the water flowed over me, I finally stopped holding back the tears.
What the Hell was wrong with me? I just bit some poor girl in a bathroom for fuck's sake. And then, the crazy bitch asked me to make her like me! Christ Almighty, what the Hell am I?
The answer was obvious, if unbelievable. And I sat there crying in the tub for a long time.
