Let's meet some of the men

After the commercial break, Julie Chen announces that it's time to meet the next four houseguests who will be a part of Big Brother this summer. Another video package begins, and four men introduce themselves to the audience.

Ethan (22) - I'm Ethan, I'm from Boulder, CO, and I'm going to win this game in record time. Running is my life. As a kid, my parents had to keep close eyes on me because, if they didn't, I'd be gone before they knew it. In high school, I broke the school record in the 400m and the 100m hurdles. That helped me get an athletic scholarship, and now I'm a psychology major at the University of Colorado. I definitely like to party. Maybe a little too much. Life should be fun, you know? That's why I signed up for Big Brother. If those other houseguests think they can evict me, they'll have to catch me first!

Chirag (31) - My name is Chirag. I live in Menlo Park, CA, and I'm an IT professional. Working in Silicon Valley is probably one of the biggest pressure cookers in the world right now. Keeping up with all this new technology requires a lot of adaptability and hard work. I think that environment has uniquely prepared me for a game like this where you never know what's coming around the corner. At home, I live with my beautiful wife and our two kids with a third on the way. My wife told me not to come home if I don't win that money, so I'd better win! *chuckles*

Eugene (25) - I'm Eugene, and I'm a bouncer from Los Angeles, CA. LA nightlife is pretty crazy. As a bouncer, you've got to manage a lot of personalities all in varying states of exhaustion and intoxication. You've got to keep a level head, otherwise things can get heated real quick. I can be intimidating when I need to be, but in my daily life I'm anything but. I am a huge fan of all things nerdy, and my dream is to own my own comic book store one day. Winning that money would go a long way towards that dream. In the Big Brother house, I'm gonna do what I do and throw every other houseguest outta there!

Derek (40) - I'm Derek, and I was born and raised here in Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, I always wanted to be a football player. I was my high school's star quarterback and I was on track to make into the NFL draft but, unfortunately, during my sophomore year in college I took a hard fall and ended up busting my knee. There was no coming back from that. It took me a long time to recover emotionally from that loss, but life has a way of getting you where you need to go. Now, I've got three wonderful sons, I'm a foreman operator for a construction company, and I'm going on Big Brother!
