Leonie joins the Black Eagles

"Sure." Byleth said, looking down at Leonie. "What did you want to talk about?" He suspected he knew what it would be about, but it would be best if he didn't act like he was expecting it... yet, anyway. Maybe after 3 others actually joined his house.

"Could I ask you a favor? I'd really like to join your class. You're the only one who knows how to teach like Captain Jeralt. You get what I mean, don't you?" Leonie said with a good deal of excitement.

"I do get it, but what about the Golden Deer? Are you having any trouble in your classes with Manuela?" Byleth asked, concealing a grin behind his poker face. Sothis had already come out and was bouncing in the air next to him... well, more vibrating, he supposed. you couldn't really bounce while floating.

"Actually, she brought that up!" Leonie said, her enthusiasm unabated by the question. "I haven't been struggling per se, but Manuela did mention her classes wouldn't be quite the same as mercenary work. If I was looking for a more realistic experience, she recommended I give the Black Eagles, since you are Jeralt's son, right?"

"So that was how Manuela convinced her." Sothis chuckled. "She really has a grasp on her students, doesn't she?" Byleth wasn't that convinced - Leonie had been a die hard Jeralt fan since before she came here. Not that hard to figure out. "All right. I don't mind taking on a few extra students."

"Yes! I knew you'd understand!" Leonie gave a fist pump in response. "Thanks to you, I'm going to be the best mercenary you've ever seen! Just watch!" She said excitedly. "Just gotta let Claude and Manuela know. See you in class, Professor!" She was nearly sprinting back the way she came.

"New student get!" Sothis shouted excitedly, taking what she considered a victory pose. Byleth merely shook his head with a grin. "Probably going to be adding more black magic and riding training to the curriculum." He said to himself as he resumed his walk. It would probably be worth his time to check in on his students. He hadn't checked how they felt about him in some time, and he also needed to let them know about Leonie...
