Time for lunch
Leave Brandon and eat lunch with Jamie
"This ends now," I told Brandon in no uncertain terms. It was time to end this farce and get on with my life. Not waiting for a reply, turned the corner and walked down the steps to meet Jamie. However, as Jamie greeted me, I could see in his eyes that he recognized someone behind me. Turning around I confirmed that Brandon had indeed followed me.
"Funny bumping into you two here," Brandon said looking as innocent as he could.
"Yes, real funny," I said with a strained smile. "But if you excuse us, we were about to have a private lunch." Hooking my arm in Jamie's I pulled him with me, walking off without giving Brandon a chance for more antics.
"Hope we meet again soon," he shouted after us.
{if confessed=true}"I though you said you wouldn't have anything more to do with that guy!" Jamie accused me through clenched teeth.
"I did," I replied. "He's the one who sought me out. I tried to tell him to get lost!"
"If he's stalking you we should go to the police."
"Yeah, perhaps we should."
(Suspicion +20%){else}"You weren't finished arguing with that guy after all?" Jamie asked.
"I was, he apparently wasn't," I replied. "Don't worry, I'll make sure he understands too."
(Suspicion +5%){endif}
There was a small cafe called Green Garden just off campus that I usually had lunch at with Jamie. After getting a table and ordering some BLT's we started small talking. {if fingered=true} As we waited, there was something gnawing at me. I had been unfaithful to Jamie for a second time today. Thinking back at it, there was no other way to describe what had happened in that classroom. {if confessed=true}And that after he had forgiven me and I had promised him that from now on I would remain faithful. {endif}Seeing him sitting across from me, smiling obliviously was like a knife in the heart. {if confessed=true} The need to confess was building in me, even though it would probably destroy everything if I did.{else}I had already hidden my indiscretion from him once, I would just have to to do it again. {endif}{else}Just chatting and enjoying each other's company, we lost track of time. {endif} After finishing our food we sat talking for a while longer.
"Shit, look at the time," Jamie suddenly said. "I have to run. Another class soon. Okay if you pick up the bill?"
I nodded, and he was off. Not soon after I looked up to find Brandon at my table, sitting himself down.
"This is getting dangerously close to stalker behavior," I quipped at him. "You're aware of that right?"
"Hey, if you really didn't want my attention I would be out of here."
"You're so fucking full of yourself, it's unbelievable."
"I believe I was promised a lunch date?"
He was promised no such thing, but at this point I was to tired to argue the point. Better to just let him talk. If necessary I could always escalate to using the law later.
