Lead Up To The Island

When Tom and Blake got the alert that they were selected for season 18 of The Contrast, Tom was practically jumping with joy as Blake was stunned.

Tom turned to Blake noticing how she fell back into their living room couch.

Tom: What’s wrong honey? We were selected, isn't this great news?’

Blake: Um well it just feels so much more real now… I don’t know, do we really want to do this?

Tom: Of course, this could change our lives forever. We could live the life we deserve finally! We just need to win and I know I can win.

Blake: I know _YOU _can win but you’re going to be on a team. And if your teammates lose… I will have to do all sorts of indecent things.

Tom: … I know… I know Blake and I will do ALL that I can do prevent that. But if anything like that happens, if we lose a challenge and you have to do something with one of those other guys. I know it’s just part of the game. But I also know that you are the most amazing woman. And that in the end you will be the one to choose, you will be the decider, and I know that you will choose me. I love you no matter what!

Tom got on his knees and hugged Blake tightly. And Blake feeling some relief, returned the hug.

Blake: love you no matter what too…. So … let’s win this damn game!

With that the decision was made. A few weeks later Tom and Blake were on a plane going south to the warm equator. A series of quick rides and a short hotel stay led them right to THE DAY, the first day of shooting.
