Lauren can't solve it
Lauren picked up the marker and looked at the problem. This looked like some Nasa stuff! Lauren had no idea where to even start! Sweat started to form on her forehead as she heard the other students shuffling behind her.
"Any time Miss Adkins." The teacher said. Lauren nibbled her lip, unable to make heads or tales of it. Finally the teacher sighed.
"Well, it's obvious you can't do it." He addressed the class. "Can anyone solve it? Charlotte, how about you?"
Lauren snorted. If she couldn't solve this, there was no way that airhead could. She turned and watched as Charlotte sprang up and pranced up to the front of the room. She then grabbed a dry erase marker, casually looked at the board, then quickly wrote a large four.
Lauren scoffed. How could the answer be so simple to such an elaborate problem? To her shock though, Mr. Richards nodded.
"Very good Charlotte." He said. "I'm glad at least one student is paying attention in class.
"Thank you." Charlotte said in a bubbly voice.
"Lauren, go sit down, and please try to learn something." Mr. Richards shook his head.
Lauren followed Charlotte to an open desk, fuming. God, the bitch must pay!
