Lauren glanced at the clock as she sprinted out of her apartment, already running late for her morning lecture. She double checked the contents of her backpack – books, notebooks, pens, water bottle – "Great, I've got everything, it's always a pain to maintain my made-up appearance, but its got to be done".

Slamming the door closed behind her, she jogged briskly towards her car, eager to hit the road.

To save time, she opted to cut through the patch of grass separating the walkway from the row of cars.

Her foot slipped on the wet grass, sending her stumbling forward. Instinctively, she managed to break her fall "always the problem with wearing shoes so high," Lauren thought to herself.

What Lauren didn't know was that in the process she had dropped her apartment key. Regaining her balance, she jogged over to her car and hopped in, still slightly rattled from nearly falling.

Meanwhile, someone had seen Lauren drop her key on the way to her car and with a cruel grin, slowly walked over as Lauren drove away.
