Kenzie has a talk with Kai
As you walk out of the cafeteria, you run into Kenzie

Aiden: Good morning Kenzie. Early as always, I see
Kenzie: Morning, sir. I always come to school early to do my homework
Aiden: Why don't you do it at home
Kenzie: There are fewer distractions here
Aiden: fair enough, have fun
Kenzie walks into the cafeteria and sees Kai sitting there alone, playing on his phone
Kenzie: Is this seat taken
He looks up and almost panics when he sees Kenzie
Kai: K-KENZIE, o-of course
Kenzie: Thank you, Kai
She sits down
Kenzie: How are you holding up, after the events of yesterday
Kai: I'm better, thank you for asking. I'm glad someone is finally doing something about the bullying
Kenzie: As am I. It's not cool to bully people; if you do it, you're pathetic, just like my brother
Kai: Your brother?
Kenzie: That's not important. I want to ask you something, and promise me that you'll answer my question
Kai: A-alright
Kenzie: Do you have a crush on me
Kai: w-what, I-I
Kenzie grabs kai's hand
Kenzie: Breathe, Kai, take your time
Kai: I-I do, g-go ahead, laugh i-if you want
Kenzie: Why would I laugh
Kai: Because I stand n-no chance with y-you
Kenzie: According to who
Kai: e-everyone
Kenzie: I decide who's worthy of me, and you are. Remember that Kai, and you're worthy. Do you want to go on a date with me?
Kai slaps himself across the face
Kenzie: What are you doing
Kai: Seeing if I'm not dreaming
Kenzie: You're not, so what's your answer
Kai: I-I would L-love to
Kenzie: Great, we'll have a lovely time
Kai: I just h-hope I c-can stop stuttering
Kenzie: It's a little cute. Do you do it often
Kai: Not r-really, I'm just really nervous around you
Kenzie: We'll get through it
Todd walks into the cafeteria
Todd: Morning, oh Kenzie, didn't expect you here
Kenzie: Well, I decided to have a chat with Kai
Todd: Really? And how did that go
Kai: Better than I could have hoped
Kenzie: We're going on a date this weekend
Todd: I can't believe it, you finally asked her out
Kenzie: No, I asked him out
Todd: Guess you still didn't have the guts
Kai: Shut up
Todd notices Kianna
Todd: Is that your mother?
Kai: Yeah, the headmaster gave her a job here
Todd: How nice of him. It's been ages since we had a lunch lady
Kai: And this way, Mom will be able to start paying back Dad's bets
Kenzie: Is money tight for you and your mom
Kai: Well, I'm ashamed to say that we live in the p-poorest part of the city
Kenzie: There's nothing to be ashamed of, you were dealt a bad hand, while I live in a mansion that feels like a prison cell
Kenzie: By the way how long have you guys been friends
Todd: For years. Why
Kenzie: Was Uncle Jake still the headmaster here when Kai and his mother already had money problems
Todd: Yeah, Dad got in the accident a little over a month ago and it's been a couple of months since Kai's father died
Kai: Four months, to be exact
Kenzie: And he never thought about giving Kai's mother a job as the lunch lady
Todd: Son of a bitch. He knew how much trouble they had and did nothing
Kai: It's fine
Todd: No, it's no. What if Dad never got into that accident, how long would you have been able to stay in the house that you grew up in
Kai: A couple of more months tops
Kenzie: Unbelievable, I thought higher of Uncle Jake
A couple of minutes later, Mia arrives
Mia: Good morning, oh hi, Kenzie
Kenzie: Hi, it's Mia, right
Mia: It is. What's going on here
Todd: Kenzie asked Kai out
Mia: How nice
she says as she sits down next to Todd and kisses him on the cheek
Mia: So how was your morning
Todd: Weird to say the least, Mom was acting strange
Mia: How so
Todd: She was acting like a total bitch; I've never seen her like that
Kai: Todd, shut up
Todd: Why? We're just having a conversation, and it's not like she can hear me. She went to the headmaster's office when we got here
?: So you think
Todd looks behind him and sees his pissed-off mother standing behind him

Todd: H-hi, Mom, what are you doing here
Ava: I wanted to give Kianna a warm welcome; instead, I see my own son disrespecting me and calling me a bitch
Todd: Did I mention you look beautiful today
Ava: I thought I made myself clear in your room this morning, apparently not, so I think a month of detention will do you good
Todd: A month?
Ava: Want to make it two
Todd: N-no
Ava: Good, I'll let Bridgette know that she can expect you after your classes for your detention. Is that clear
Todd: Yes, Mom
Ava: Mia
Mia: Yes, Miss
Ava: The headmaster is waiting for you
Mia: Did I do something wrong
Ava: Not at all, Aiden. I just want to talk with you. It's the same talk he has with all the students this week, he just wants to get to know you
Mia: Oh right, he did mention that during his introduction speech
Kai: You have nothing to worry about Mia. Just tell him about yourself and he'll help. He did the same to me, he listened to my entire story, and he never judged me
Mia: Right, see you guys later then
Ava: Follow me
