Katie wants to help Leo

By the time the girls were finished, they insisted on having group shots taking out in the backyard for their Instagram pages. The whole time, I was just checking out each and every one of them.

The extra time for the photos meant we were pushing it to get there in time. We reached the festival just in time for Davo's friend to let us inside, through one of the back gates. To his credit, he got all of us inside, right before he was scheduled to move to another part of the festival grounds.

So we were in, the sun was shining, music was blaring for multiple stages with different live music acts. Naturally, the group didn't stay together long, everyone went off in their own directions.

I had never been to a music festival before so this was once again a new experience. But I couldn't help but be drawn in to the women here. All around there were girls in even less clothes than my Saturday Night Five. I lost myself for a couple of minutes when I saw a girl in her early twenties walking around topless, her boobs covered in this purple glitter, acting as coverage.

But even with all that going on, I kept paying a lot of attention to Annie and Henry. He had been blocking me out and making sure I didn't have access to Annie all holidays. Today was no exception and I wasn't the only one who noticed, Katie brought it up when the two of us got in a line for drinks.

"You need some assistance?" she asked me.

"Assistance with what?"

"With Annie," she repeated, "Appears like you're struggling to get a chance to speak to her."

She must have been watching me pretty closely if she had picked up on that. I don't know how many times I had looked over at her but I assumed I wasn't that blatantly obvious about it.

That clearly wasn't the case.

"I can help you if you like," Katie suggested.

"No seriously it's okay, i don't want to waste your time here today for something so unimportant," I told her, feeling a little awkward about the girl I lost my virginity to, now setting me up with one of her best friends.

Katie hopped out of line for a moment and came back half a minute later with a little map that had all the bands, DJ's and artists that were performing today. She looked through the list and then stopped at someone called 'Harry Lucas'.

"Here," she said, pointing at the name, "This is your chance."

"What on earth are you talking about Katie?"

"Leo, Annie loves country music and I'm almost certain this is the same country music artist that she listens to, who's from Tennessee."

I took a closer look at the page, seeing it was starting in five minutes at Stage Three, "I didn't even know she liked country music..."

"Well use that to your advantage... go take her out there now, she'd be impressed that you know that."

"But... Henry... I mean, he's not leaving her side," I interjected, "I can't even get a word in to her."

"You let me worry about him, just need to give me a second to think of something," she said, thinking to herself.

We made it to the front of the line, so we ordered our drinks and then passed through the crowd in front of stage one, locating some of our friends including Annie and Henry.

When Katie gave me a slight nudge, followed by a wink, I figured she had a plan incoming.

I followed behind her, waiting to see what she was going to do. Without much of an elaborate plan, Katie pretended to be pushed from behind, bumping into the back of Henry and spilling half her drink on him.

In reality, she faked it all, which I tried hard to keep a straight face as I viewed it all.

"What the..." Henry exclaimed, ready to explode until he saw who it was.

"Oops, I'm so sorry, I'm such a clutz," Katie said, her hand on his shoulder, taking his attention away from Annie, "Here let me look at your shirt..."

I didn't know at first that it was the cue to take Annie away. Katie reassured that it was with a raise of her eyebrows.

As smooth as I could, I grabbed Annie by the hand and led her away from the crowd. It wasn't until we were out of reach from Henry and Katie that I actually told her where I was dragging her to.

"What's going on Leo??" she questioned.

"I've got a surprise for you," I told her.

We made it to stage three just in time as Harry Lucas began to walk his way on stage. Once she heard his voice, she knew exactly what was happening. I felt her grab my arm a little tight, excitedly pulling on it, "Oh my god Leo!! No way!"

"You like him right?"

"Like him? LOVE HIM!" she exclaimed, "How could you have known??"

"Ah well um... I just..." as I was speaking, I could see Henry Foley walking aimlessly in our direction, he hadn't spotted us but he was certainly looking for Annie.

"Uhh... come on, let's get a better look at the stage," I said as I dragged her along.
