Karen wants to keep Mara's body

“I’m John, your neighbor,” he said, sounding nervous. “Last night my friends and I did a stupid ritual as a joke. Somehow I gained the power to possess people. This morning I accidentally ended up in your body. I was trying to switch back to mine, but something went wrong and now you’re in Mara’s body.” Karen, now inside Mara’s young body, stared at him for a moment. “So you’re the brat from next door,” she said, her words coming out in Mara’s soft, youthful voice. “You stole my body and dragged me into this girl’s body because of your mess.”

Karen straightened Mara’s posture, gently running her hands over her new waist and hips, clearly enjoying how light and energetic the body felt. A self-serving smile formed on Mara’s lips. “Well then,” she continued, her tone turning smooth and opportunistic, “if this is all your fault, maybe I should just keep this body. It’s much younger and nicer than mine ever was. Why should I give it back?” She tilted her head, looking at John with clear intent. “After all, you caused this. The least you can do is let me enjoy being young again.”

John's heart sank as he realized Karen had no intention of switching back. She was already planning to keep Mara’s body for herself.
