Karakura Town

Melinda's POV:

Following His Majesty's order, I escaped to the World of the Living through Gates of the Sun. My destination was Karakura Town, a settlement located in Western Tokyo.

With the new power, I could feel every moment of my pregnancy. When His Majesty's DNA combined with mine. When the fertilized ovum implanted itself on my womb. When the fetus had its first heartbeat.

I usually looked at myself in the mirror. Seeing my bump grow to a large belly, my nipples become hard and pointy, which brought me salvation.

Now I stood here, placing my hands on my arching back, reminding myself of why I accepted this burden, and why I would never hesitate to do it again if I had to choose a second time. This was for the greater good.

The baby was kicking my stomach hard these days. He grew quite large, to the point I wondered could he pass through my birth carnal or not.

But I wouldn't allow this mission to fail.

I prepared to bear the worst kind of pain. Even if I had to cut my abdomen open, I will bring God's Child to this world.
