What's next?
Journey
Lauren fumed on the way to her car; her skirt seemed to be almost loosening as she walked, but she couldn't afford to be late, so she just kept holding it up.
She got to her car. She saw she had another flat tyre, just like yesterday, what's happening with my luck recently?, she thought to herself.
She would have to get it to the garage to look at it, but what could she do now? She was going to be late. Just then, the old, tacky pink car parked behind her beeped.
A girl put her head out of the window and shouted, "Hey, do need a lift?."
Out of options. Lauren got in and saw the girl; it was Megan from her old school. This girl just screamed white trash as soon as you noticed her, desperate times call for desperate measures.
Lauren did up her seat belt and gave Megan directions, not mentioning to Megan that she had remembered her; Lauren assumed Megan forgot her; Megan chatted away on the way there; Lauren just nodded along; she was listening but sort of a little bit zoned out; Megan smirked at Lauren, who hadn't noticed a couple of buttons on her blouse had fallen off.
