Journal Entries [6/6]

Journal Entry – July 6th: The past few days have been intense. I’ve been diving into that old book I found at the library, reading up on all these ancient sexual rites and practices. Honestly, I’ve been jerking off like crazy, multiple times a day, and I’ve stopped feeling guilty about it. It’s like something in me has just clicked, and I can’t get enough. But no sign of Selene since that day in the park. I’ve looked for her a couple of times, but it’s like she’s disappeared off the face of the earth. This afternoon, though, things took a weird turn. I found an envelope slid under the door. No clue how it got there, especially since I’m still living with my parents and they’re pretty much on lockdown mode 24/7. Inside was a letter addressed to me. Here’s what it said:

Dear Dante,

If this letter has found its way to you, it is because you are ready to take the next step on a journey that began the moment you dared to dream of more than what your world has offered you. I am Lucius, and you have met my companion, Selene. We have watched you from afar, seen the struggle within you, and witnessed your awakening.
We extend an invitation to you to join us, to explore the depths of your desires and the heights of your potential. Enclosed are a plane ticket, an address, and a key. These are your tools to unlock a new existence, one where your passions will not be shackled by the shadows of outdated morals.
Come when you are ready, leave behind your doubts, and step into a realm where all that you seek is within grasp.

We await your arrival.

I mean, what the hell, right? This is some next-level creepy or cool, I can’t decide. A plane ticket, an address, and a key were all in there too. It’s like something out of a movie. I’m sitting here trying to wrap my head around this. It feels like a dream, but it’s all here, in my hand, very real.
I need to make a decision. I could just ignore this, stay here, keep hiding my true self, keep dodging my parents’ questions about why I’m locked in my room all the time. Or I could go, find out what this is all about, maybe find Selene again. It’s tempting, more than tempting actually. It’s almost like I don’t have a choice. Something in me needs to see where this leads.

I haven’t told anyone about the letter, obviously. Can you imagine explaining this to my parents? They’d lock me up and throw away the church key. Tomorrow, I’m going to the airport. I’ve got to see this through, whatever this is. So, yeah. Tomorrow, new city, maybe a new me. We’ll see what happens.

Closing the journal slowly, Dante felt the weight of his penned words, each a step on the path that had led him here, to this small room in a vast city. Each entry, from the earliest hints of curiosity to the raw and unrestrained expressions of desire, traced the evolution of his mindset. Now, sitting in the quiet of his small apartment, he was acutely aware of how far he had come and how much he had changed.
