John went to the mall one day after school, because he knew Stacy would spend time here after school with her friends.

He fantasized about asking her out and her saying yes, leaping forward and kissing him in her acceptance. However, he lacked the courage to approach her or say a single word. He instead sat in the food court, drinking a soda, and glanced over in her direction in admiration and resolved to live in his fantasies.

Eventually she left and he finished his drink.

He was about to leave feeling lovesick over his curse when he noticed a new mystic shop he hadn't seen before "Love Potions! Money Trees! Ouiji Boards" printed on their windows.

He goes in to inquire about these "love potions" they claimed to have.
