Arron glanced up at the building as he came into the parking lot and whistled low despite himself. This was not even one of the five finalists he had sorted but still, on Sarah's urging, had submitted his application for the deputy headmistress position, though neither he or she had any idea what exactly that entailed. When the school had called back a day later to schedule an interview, Arron was even more perplexed by the position.
Google, in this case, had been an eye-opener for sure.
Parish High School was a small religious school that was set up in the style of a boarding school, housing approximately 500 students in grades 6-12, exclusively catering to moderately wealthy families who sent their daughters for a formal education outside the school system in the area.
As he gathered his purse (still hating the fact he actually carried one), the door to the front opened and a young woman walked out and approached his car. She had a smile on her face as she greeted Arron. "Mrs. Andrews?"
Arron blinked and nodded, slipping the bag over his shoulder and closed the car door behind him. "Erin, please..."
The young blonde woman's smile grew even bigger and she motioned for him to follow her into the school. The walk was a 5 minute one down the hallway, marble floors seemingly out of place in this part of the town, but then again, considering the student population, he supposed they would have the money to spend on opulence.
The two of them reached the door to the headmaster's office and she knocked and announced Arron's arrival. "Mrs. Miller? Mrs. Andrews is here for the interview."
"Come in," came a reply and the two entered the office which would not look out of place for a mi-level Fortune-500 company anywhere in the world. A middle-aged woman looked up from her paperwork and flashed a warm smile at Arron. "Mrs. Andrews? Thank you for coming..."
I'll never get used to that...
