Jessie returns

It finally happens one morning. Jessica and you had just moved out into an apartment together. The first night sleeping in the new place is the last time Jessica goes to sleep a girl.

You wake first and crawl out of bed, thankful the morning sickness had recently ended, you hope. You look for your clothes trying to remember where you put everything in the new place. Right as you are putting on a shirt you hear it and freeze. Jessica gives low groan in her sleep and rolls over. The problem is that groan did not sound like Jessica. It is far too deep and manly.

She still has the covers pulled over and you cannot confirm it but it does look like the bulge in the bed is too large for her female physic. You sneak closer, your heart thumping so loud you do not understand how it does not wake her. Grabbing the covers, you carefully pull them down and confirm your suspicions.

Jessie is back and Jessica is gone. Whoever the last girl was who had been pregnant, she must have termed it yesterday. Your eyes sting with tears as conflicting emotions rise.

With Jessie here, there is no turning back and you really do wish she had been able to stay a girl but a part of you cannot help but leap for joy at seeing Jessie again. Your crying wakes him although you had not intended to.

"What's wrong?" says Jessie rising from bed seeing you crying.

"I'm sorry," you sob gesturing to him. "I wasn't enough."

He figures it out quick. He rests his head in his hands and lets out a heavy sigh, "I knew it would happen sooner or later."

You sob even louder when hearing this but Jessie is ok with it. He actually smiles at you and gestures you over. You fall into his arms bawling and he pulls you onto his lap, cradling you while letting you cry.

Minutes later when the tears stop flowing enough to speak, he wipes away your tears. His eyes watering too and with a croak to his voice he says, "I'm sorry to have put you through all this but we're still together and I think it's better this way."

"But...what was the point of it?" you ask.

He pauses contemplating how to put it into words, "I've been thinking about that for long time. If you hadn't done what you did, I'd have changed back long ago and then we'd both be guys."

You nod but do not understand where he is going with this.

"I don't know about you but as a male I'm not really into other guys. We'd have been friends, the best of friends, but I don't think it would have been anything more," you consider his words and he continues with the rest of his reasoning. "And again, as a girl I wasn't really into other girls. We'd have been friends. Sure, I'd have help raise our kid but I don't really know what would have happened after that."

He runs his fingers through your hair as you ponder, "but like this...like this we can stay together." He kisses the top of your head, "I love you and that isn't about to change."

You stare up at him mouth a gape, touched. "Thank you," you say lost for words. You then give him a kiss and rest your head on his shoulders. Cuddling up in his arms you hope the moment never ends.
