Jennifer, the invisible girl

Few people were as good at hiding as Gloria Hemlock, but one girl at the school had her beat. Jennifer, one of the girls attending night school, had a much different reputation from her evening classmates. Most people claimed that they had never seen her in person, and the few that did say that she was extremely shy. The few night school girls that talked to the day school girls didn't have much to share about her.

You yourself could only remember one incident where you saw her. You were in a shop looking for something to eat when you noticed something out of the corner of your eye. At first glance, you could have sworn you were looking at a set of floating clothes, as if the air itself was wearing them! But after rubbing your eyes, you saw a gorgeous woman your age with long dark hair and lovely green eyes. She stared at you as if you were crazy, leading you to quickly look away in embarrassment.

Little could you have guessed that what you saw was altogether too real. And soon, both of you would be seeing things together you wished you hadn't.
