January Week 2: Thursday

Thursday proved mostly uneventful. For that she was greatful. Mr. Howard was busy with some angry parent and she didn't see a number of other faces she was often loath to see. When the afternoon came the halls of Pleasant Plains High School that Thursday afternoon sounded like a Best Buy showroom on Black Friday—if the TVs had been swapped for hormone-jacked teenagers and the salesmen were replaced by underpaid public educators holding the line against madness.
