Jane and David knock.

Alice opens the door, welcoming them into her living room. Jane can barely contain her excitement.

David is thinking about the beer that Jane will offer him when this witches story is going to prove just another scam. He recognizes Alice's house, and he's wondering if he’s the only sane one in his friend’s circle”.

"Welcome to my humble house, my friends. Please, have a seat".

They follow the instruction.

"What Jane was talking about... is a serious thing” Alice continues. “If you transform into each other, even if it's just temporary, your whole perception of the world will change forever".

"Yay, it will be so fun!" Jane interrupts her.

"Yes, it would be... if only it was possible" David says.

"I don't have to prove my magic to you" Alice looks offended. "I'm just doing this for our friendship. In any case, there’s something I’mm failing to understand: if Jane becomes David, and David becomes Jane… how can you call that a costume? Nobody could tell you really switched, and it would be hard and embarrassing to explain how and why".

Jane hadn’t thought about that. "Wow... you really are smart, Alice! Let me think one minute... what if we changed a few small features before the transformation? We would be the only ones to know how we’ve achieved them, and that would make it even more fun".

"That is a good start. But it could be hard to explain why you're taller or more muscular...”

"Then, we won't make any change to our height. Regarding our fitness, we haven’t seen our friends for some time now, they would take it as an actual commitment to this costume party!"
