You can barely breath as his lips leave yours. This was not at all how you expected the night to end. Sure, the guy was nice, but damn was he very charming. They'd tried to set you up twice before, but this was the first time it was even worth considering. You were very glad that you'd agreed.

"I had a really great time tonight, Preston," you barely breath out. You look toward the door and then back at him. "I'd like to invite you in for a drink, but I'll need to get rid of my parents first because they're babysitting."

"That's no problem. I had a great time as well, Jade." He leans in and kisses you again. "I certainly don't want to intrude on you and your family."

"You'd have to wait a half hour or hour or so and come back, because I do not need the shitstorm that would come if my parents saw me bringing a guy inside."

"That's perfectly fine." He smiles and you feel something deep inside of you. It twists your heart a little bit and drops down between your legs, giving you a slight jolt as you feel it dampen just a bit.

Though you expected very little from this date since you did meet him at church, the hunger in his eyes seems to match yours. You feel your own hunger growing.

Your heart races as you look at him, struggling to find the words that you want to say to him.
