"And fuck you too!" She flipped off the man who took another picture of her before walking away himself. When she noticed Jack standing there, Paula dropped down on her scratched-up knees and started crying.
She wasn't sure how long she had been on the ground with tears running down her face before she felt Jack place his jacket around her shoulders and help her up. A minute? Or was it two, three, five? It was all a blur.
Paula woke up on the living room couch, she was naked, but covered with her favorite blanket. She felt hungover, she tried stretching her head and then saw a pile of her clothes on the ground in the hallway. After a brief moment of lucidity, Paula realized that what had happened last night was not merely a dream that she just woke up from - she had done a horrible thing. She didn't remember the way back to the car or the drive back home, which must have been awkward as hell.
She got up and took a quick shower before calling in sick for the day. Unsurprisingly, the boss was pissed, but she didn't really care.
Then she went to bed, assuming a fetal position and trying to sleep again - she could not.
