Ivy uses the guards to her advantage

"Now, Harley and I both know that the two of you wouldn't ever harm an innocent life. You're much too good for that," laughed Ivy.

"What are you talking about?" demanded Batgirl, tired of their games.

"See, my new boyfriends just don't like the way you're talking to me. Get her!"

Batgirl and Supergirl were shocked as the bank guards ran towards them. They had come prepared to take down Ivy and Harley, but this was different. They couldn't hurt these men, even if they were under Ivy's mind control.

Her hesitation cost Batgirl, as a guard managed to land a punch to her cheek. She stumbled back, trying to think of a plan to stop them without causing too much harm.

"Stop this, boys. We don't want to hurt you!" exclaimed Supergirl, confidently holding her ground.

Her confidence was short-lived, as the other guard punched her in the stomach, causing her to double over in shock and pain.

"That...that hurt?" she questioned.

Then, they all saw it. The guards had Kryptonite in their pockets, surely provided to them by Harley. Their two foes had planned for their intervention.

Ivy saw the heroines both in a state of shock, and knew she had little time before they'd come to their senses. Quickly, she used her vines to trap the two of them, wrapping their hands above their heads.

"Too easy!" taunted Harley, laughing at the bound heroines.

"You can't keep this up forever, Ivy! Soon we'll be out of here and you'll have no hostages to hide behind!" yelled Batgirl.

"Oh Batgirl, so much faith in your city," said Ivy, giving one of the guards another kiss.

Then, she thought of a plan. She had the heroines right where she wanted them, but why not show them that their citizens weren't as worthy of their heroism as they thought.

"C'mon red, let's beat them for good!" shrieked Harley.

"No, Harley. I have a better idea. You two think that man deserves your help, but in reality, they'd never do the same for you!"

"You're wrong. This world is full of good people willing to make the sacrifices we make," answered Supergirl.

"Oh? These two guards will only be under my control for a few more minutes. What do you think they'll do when they see the two of you bound and helpless, with no one else in sight?" asked Ivy.

"They'll do their job and help us. You won't get away with this," warned Batgirl.

Ivy laughed. She figured that was how they'd respond. It was time to put their theory to the test.

"Good luck ladies. I have a feeling you'll need it!"

With that, the two villains left the bank.

Batgirl and Supergirl watched as the two men began to regain their senses. The guards looked up at them, surprised to see the famous heroines bound by Ivy's vines.
