Your feelings about registering Jessica to the KDK were already complicated enough but now it felt like this was the moment you had to decide. Your instincts to be polite however were more powerful than you thought and the idea of leaving someone with their hand out just didn’t sit right with you.

You took her hand as if to shake it and when she went to pull away, you clasped your other hand over hers.

“Thank you for at least trusting me enough to have a truce” you replied, leaving her hand in yours just long enough to feel the low familiar buzz that you had felt multiple times before.

Jessica seemed weirded out by your sincerity but as you had let go of her hand there wasn't much she could complain about. She did briefly look at her hand as if she had felt the shock but dismissed it as quickly from what you could tell, not even considering a connection between the handshake and whatever she had felt.

You wanted to check your phone to see what you had just achieved but Grace was about ready to leave and you didn’t have the chance to run off and hide to check your phone.

Even if you wanted to consider it, Grace’s eye caught your own and she took that as the final sign that things had wrapped up.

“Right, we should get going. I’ll sure I’ll see you both soon” Grace said as a farewell, making sure you were following behind her as she set off towards the door.

“See you later” you added, giving them a brief wave goodbye and having one last moment of eye contact with Rebecca before you went and joined Grace.

It felt like your phone was burning a hole in your pocket as all of your attention was focused in on it, making you almost bump into Grace as she stopped just outside the entrance to the gym.

“You okay? You look a little preoccupied.” Grace asked, giving you a chance to take a moment if you needed it.

“...Yeah it’s fine. I just… Actually, can I just take a minute? I’ve just seen a message and I feel like I need to check it sooner rather than later” you explained, feeling that the urge to look was too powerful not to do anything about it.

“Sure thing. How about we head to the car and I’ll jump in while you do what you need to do?” Grace offered, gesturing over to the parking lot.

She had looked like she had seen through your words when you had said it would be fine and when you actually said you needed some time, she relaxed at seeing you be truthful, happy that you were comfortable enough to tell her what had been bothering you.

“That sounds great” you replied, letting out a deep breath.

You moved away from the front where Rebecca and Jessica would have probably still been able to see you through the window and round the side of the building to the car, getting one final nod and a smile from Grace before she got inside and left you to check your phone.

Even now on your own, you moved towards the trunk of the car and took a look around to make sure you weren’t being watched, finding that the coast was clear and you had nothing to worry about.

Now that left you to actually take a look at what the KDK had in store for you which was a whole new set of worries to deal with.

You sat and stared at your screen for longer than you expected as you tried to digest the information that was in front of you. Just like how Mom was into Submission, you assumed the kink referred to the subject themselves and in this case, you assumed Jessica’s kinks would be the denial of her orgasms and not your own. It may potentially build up to other subjects with how the shared passive effects worked but you would have to wait and see on that.

Other than that, it seemed pretty simple but the fact that the kink was a lack of something made you curious as to how the effects of the KDK would build if you were to level up Jessica.

You also got to know that you had only managed one whole extra second towards level 1 and that despite everything she had said, you only needed 40 seconds to get her to the next level and not the full 100. Then again it didn’t seem to be based on familiarity and not how much you were liked so maybe if someone absolutely hated your guts then they might actually be easier to level up when compared to a stranger.

The only real piece of information you got that wouldn’t require some weird testing was the fact that Jessica’s last name was Roberts, something you didn’t know and hadn’t needed to know yet but had now still learnt nonetheless.

You stared at her profile for just a little longer as if processing the information one final time before you texted Sarah that you were on your way home and then locked your phone, moving over to the passenger side door and getting in the car where Grace was waiting for you.

“All done?” she asked with a reassuring smile.

“I think so. Just a lot to process” you replied, leaning to put your bag in the back seat before you put your seatbelt on.

“Anything you want to talk about while we go home?” Grace added, turning the car’s engine on and getting ready to leave the parking lot.

You were about to decline her offer but given that you were about to head home to Sarah who would likely ask about Jessica, you decided Grace might actually be a good person to talk to about this.

“So, Sarah mentioned that I should try to get along well with Rebecca. And obviously Emma would take that a step further and would want her to be a part of this big dynamic that we all have going on. Even just you and Rebecca meeting each other still felt weird to me and adding even just one more person in the mix seems like the potential for things going wrong will go up. And I’m already worried about that a lot.

Don’t get me wrong, Jessica herself is really hot and if anything were to happen it would be amazing but given that she seems to hate me, I’m just a little conflicted… there's also if it's even something she wants as well” you explained, rambling to Grace as the car headed away from the gym.

It felt like the KDK made it pretty much guaranteed that Jessica would slowly change her opinion about you given its track record but Grace wouldn’t know that, making you add Jessica's current feelings to your ramble for Grace’s sake.

Author's note: Apologies for the lack of a chapter on Tuesday. Came down with something and wasn't able to get anything done. That being said, I hope this isn't a cliffhanger for my break and I'll see you all on the 12th :)
