What are his thoughts?
It is a virus
...isn't right.
"This is definitely a virus," you mutter, sitting up as your thumb jabs fruitlessly at the power button again.
The silver eye on the screen seems to pulse, almost as if it's watching you. The longer you stare at it, the more uncomfortable you feel.
Deciding not to deal with it for now, you put the phone aside and try to convince yourself you'll figure it out later.
But somehow, "later" turns into "never."
Days pass.
Life continues as normal.
Lily's television gets louder, Alan comes home with another one of his stories about how he "handled" something at work, and your strange encounter with the app slowly fades into the back of your mind.
The phone remains untouched, waiting silently.
Its screen occasionally flickers in the darkness, that same silver eye appearing for a brief moment before disappearing again.
Then, two weeks later, while searching for a missing assignment, you end up going through your forgotten belongings. In the process, the phone slips free and falls out of sight.
You barely notice.
But the phone doesn't stay unnoticed for long.
A hand reaches out.
The screen immediately lights up.
The silver eye appears once again.
And after a brief pause...
The four glowing buttons return.
