Chapter 30

Who is it? Somebody you know?
It is a knight. A firend of Luna
You turn around and to your surprise you stand in front of a tall guy with a big, shining plate armor. He has a sword and a shield that shows some kind of tower on it. He doesn’t wear a helmet, so you can see his remarkable beautiful face. His whole appearance remembers you to the way humans on earth depicted knights in romantic novels.
And he is not alone. There is a young woman in a white mage robe next to him, a member of the mind mage branch, as well as a dwarf in a chainmail and with a war hammer on his back. The mage is slightly older than you, probably 20. She has a kind face, log, orange-red hair and a lot of sprinkles on her only slightly tanned skin. The dwarf has lightly brown hair, a long beard with a big knot in it and wears a heavy looking backpack.
“Paul, what a surprise,” Omboran greets the guy friendly and offers a handshake, “Clare, this is Paul. He is a … relative of Luna. Over some edges, if I am correct.”
“Nice to meet you again too, Omboran, and thanks for the introduction,” the knight called Paul answers smiling and shakes Omborans hand, “I am Knight of Hammerfort, if you know where this is. And these are my companions. The mind mage Fiona and the weapon smith Bolar, son of Balkar. We are here because we wanted to meet you, Clare”
“Nice to meet you,” Fiona says a little shy and offers you her hand while Bolar just nods respectful, “I don’t think we met at the academy so far. I passed my exams a year ago and have been traveling a lot since that.”
“Well, it is nice to meet you too,” you reply friendly, “but what can I do for you? Why do you want to talk to me? Is it about Luna?”
“Well, I used to hear about you,” Paul says friendly and looks up and down on you, “some rumors from the street and some stories from Lunavell. As Omboran said, we are distant relatives. Very distant and not by blood to be honest. I wanted to see the new magic talent she told me about with my own eyes. And I must say, from what I heard you were impressive. You defeated a dangerous opponent despite your lack of experience.”
“Oh, thank you,” you say and blush, “but this is nothing worth mentioning. I just did what I had to do.”
“Don’t be so humble girl,” Bolar replies and laughs, “people who don’t brag pay for their drinks themselves.”
“You are still a novice, right?” Paul asks interested, “well as soon as you passed your exams, what would you say about joining our adventurers’ group? Lunavell too, of course. You both would be a great addition. Omboran, I remember offering you this too about half a year ago. Did you thought about it?”
“I did, but Luna still thinks we should create an own group,” Omboran mumbles, “maybe … I can convince her to the idea. But … that needs some time.”
“From me too,” you add quickly, “This is a very generous offer and I will clearly remember it. But first I have to pass the exams to become a full member of the guild.”
“Of course, I didn’t expect an answer right now,” Paul says friendly, “speak with Lunavell first and focus on your studies. There is no need to rush things.”
“It would be a pleasure to have some other mages in the group,” Fiona says and blushes a little, “and another girl too.”
“Well, we took enough of your time, my friends,” Paul says friendly, “just think about our offer when the time has come. Have a nice date.”
“Thank you, sir, you too,” you answer polite and nod encouraging to Fiona and Bolar.
You stand there a little speechless while Paul’s adventure group quickly disappears in the crowd. You must say, this guy was really impressive. A good looking noble with respect for you and an interesting offer. This could be a great way to go on adventures and see more of the world. But right now, you are here on a Date with Omboran and he seems a little uncomfortable. You don’t think he is jealous. Rather under some kind of Pressure. You wonder why. They seemed to get along each other quiet well. To break the silence, you reach for Omborans hand and gently lead him towards the local marked. It seems to work. He is quickly distracted and soon you are back to you private time.
Are we going to the theater or should we follow Paul first?

Reborn into Calitian
You are reborn into another world of magic and fantasy. How you live is your choice, the consequences are as well.
The world of Calitian is a world of magic whose sentient inhabitants vary from human to decidedly not. You are rather unexpectedly reborn into this world however you do not get the expected god delivered spiel about said rebirth so you are on your own. This should be interesting.
