Meet the potential roommate?
It Can't Hurt
"Fine. It can't hurt to try. I'm a little nervous about a guy living in the house, so we'd need some ground rules for sure, at least until we can find someone we trust." I say, still uneasy about the whole prospect, for obvious reasons.
"Okay, baby! I understand. It just seems like the best option for us, and who knows, it could be fun to make a new friend or two." Cassandra says. She's not exactly wrong, it would sure beat balancing school and work, or begging my parents for more money, considering all they've done for us so far.
"Well, when can we meet, uhh, what's his name?" I'm horrendous with names.
"Michael! And we can meet him tomorrow at the cafe at my school. He goes to school there, and apparently, we'll be sharing a few classes this semester anyways. It's perfect!" she says, excitedly messaging Michael that we're going to meet up the following day.
I'm hoping this will work out for us. And, like she said, knowing a local, making friends, and having someone that can buy us alcohol could be huge benefits. Still, I'm a little nervous about the whole prospect.
We spend the rest of the evening setting up the TV, talking about school, and coming up with plans for how we'd arrange the house for a potential new roommate. We hit the sack, both exhausted from our previous sexual encounter and all the hustle and bustle from our first day together at our new apartment.
