Chapter 5

What's next?
It’s not there
Her hand blindly slapped the top of the locker. She couldn’t feel her box. Charolette pressed her bare flesh against the cold metal locker reaching as far back as she could, still no sign of the box. She bounced up on her toes, reaching as far back until her finger tips touched the wall.
Charlotte started to get a little worried that the box wasn’t there. She took a couple of steps back and jumped up, surveying the top of the locker and the ones surrounding.
The box was gone.
Shit.
Charolette frantically opened all the surrounding lockers, in the off chance she had placed the box in one without remembering.
She opened every single locker against the wall. All empty. Except for the single locked one with all her belongings in.
She paced up and down the hallway. Thinking about how to get out of this situation. She stopped. She made a terrible realization: if the box was gone, that meant someone else is in the building.
Oh no. Do they think a student just left it there for today? What if it is another student? Do they know I’m here? Did they see me in the classroom? Did they watch me undress?
Now knowing she wasn’t alone, Charolette was feeling a whole lot less confident than she was leaving the classroom. She quickly covered her self as best she could with her hands and crouched down into a ball in the middle of the hall.
What’s Charolette’s next course of action?
