It’s not exactly comfortable but it goes ok…

Emily is glad her towel managed to avoid the brunt of the torrent earlier, as she clings it to her body. It’s even more awkward sitting on her father’s lap after what happened. Turns out her mother slept through the whole ordeal, so she has no idea that they even left their seats.

The next two and a half hours feel like an eternity. Emily is uncomfortable, and she can tell her dad is too. But fortunately, nothing happens, as the announcement is finally made that the plane is landing. Emily breathes a sigh of relief, and about an hour later, they can finally get off the plane.

Emily follows the line of people out of the plane, heading into the new airport.

She steps out of the gate, and realizes that this airport is much, much larger than the one they left. And she’s standing there in nothing but the tiniest towel she’s ever seen. Her mother sighs. “Alright, let’s get to the baggage claim everyone, then we can get to the ship! It boards in just a few hours!”

Emily internally celebrates. Once she has her bags she can get dressed again, and put this whole horrible day behind her.
