It's Complicated, on a Battleworld

The multiverse once stretched endlessly, a boundless tapestry of unique worlds, each with its own champions, challenges, and conflicts. But now, those countless realities are gone, torn apart and stitched together into a single, fractured construct: Battleworld.

Forged by an enigmatic and omnipotent entity known only as the Architect, Battleworld is a planetoid stitched from fragments of countless universes. Divided into two distinct hemispheres, it is a world defined by a fragile balance between light and darkness, teetering on the edge of all-out war.

The Eastern half of the planetoid:

A beacon of order and hope, this hemisphere is home to an alliance of heroic nations united under the banner of NEXUS (Network for EXtranormal Unity and Security). Fragments of heroic universes form a diverse yet unified coalition, where heroes protect, inspire, and lead. Despite their differences, these nations work together to uphold justice and peace.

The Western half of the planetoid:

A fractured realm of ambition and chaos, known as The Dominion—is a patchwork of villainy, corruption, and dark ambition. Here, the ideals of justice and peace are discarded in favor of power, control, and unrelenting conflict. Fragments of villainous universes and dystopian realities dominate the landmasses, their rulers united only by their mutual disdain for the hero-led alliance of the East.

While The Dominion boasts incredible strength and resources, its lack of unity keeps it mired in constant internal struggle, with tyrants and warlords vying for dominance. This relentless infighting has left it **** to the incursions of the heroic NEXUS forces, who have managed to establish a foothold in this chaotic territory.

Between the two hemispheres is The Gulf: a band of emptiness hundreds of miles wide that exposes the planetoid’s artificial, hollow nature. Roiling gases, swirling energy storms, and unpredictable gravitational shifts make The Gulf a forbidding barrier, though not impassable. Flying heroes, airships, and advanced aircraft traverse its chaotic expanse, bridging the two sides in dangerous missions of espionage, diplomacy, or conquest.
