What's next?
Intoxication
Lukas didn’t need to touch her. He only needed to think.
One impulse. That was all.
He stopped himself for half a second and looked away, staring at the blank kitchen wall like it might offer answers his mind had already made for him. His next breath almost broke apart on the way out.
Then he let the thought happen.
“Take it off.”
Hannah moved immediately. Her hands slipped to the hem of her dress and lifted it slowly upward. There was no embarrassment in her expression. No hesitation. Only anticipation. Like she wanted to see how he would react.
His body had already reacted long ago. Obviously. Painfully obvious.
Lukas registered it with cold clarity. And watched her carefully.
The dress slid higher inch by inch. Over her legs. Her hips. The soft curve of her stomach. Higher still.
He followed every movement. Every detail.
He could still stop this.
Instead, he took a step backward and sat down.
Hannah let the dress fall carelessly to the floor between them. Then she stood there waiting.
Lukas let his eyes move over her openly now, without pretending restraint he no longer possessed.
“Come here.”
The unspoken command reached her instantly. She lowered herself to her knees in front of him, attention fixed entirely on him now.
Lukas felt a dangerous thought slide quietly through his mind.
How far would he go?
Her expression remained open and calm. No visible fear. No trembling uncertainty. And yet—
Somewhere deeper inside her, something still stirred faintly beneath the surface. Not doubt exactly. More like distant surprise at her own actions. As though part of her still wondered how she had arrived here.
Outwardly composed, completely certain she was doing the right thing, Hannah reached for him. Her tongue moved briefly across her lips.
Then her fingers settled against his zipper.
For one suspended moment she paused there—not uncertain, just to let him savor the anticipation.
Lukas looked down at her. Then nodded once. That was enough.
She leaned closer.
And Lukas felt her touch. Warmth. Softness. A sharp pulse tore through him so suddenly it almost hurt. Not because of what she was doing.
Because of what it meant.
One thought from him had been enough. Now she was here. On her knees in front of him. Fulfilling his desires without question. Without hesitation.
A low sound escaped him as his body stiffened and shifted forward instinctively.
It wasn’t the physical sensation affecting him most. It was the certainty. The absolute, terrifying certainty that he had wanted this—and the distance between thought and action had simply ceased to exist.
An idea became obedience. Obedience became reality.
That was power.
Warm pressure spread slowly through him, heavier and more intoxicating with every passing second. He felt hyperaware of himself now. Every movement. Every reaction. Every flicker of hunger inside him. A deep satisfaction flooded through his body.
Not because of her beauty. Or what she did. Because of the control he held over it. Over her.
Lukas closed his eyes.
Part of him knew exactly where this road ended. He had run from those consequences before. More than once. But that part of him barely had a voice anymore.
Because right now there was only one thought left inside him that mattered:
More.

It Would Be So Easy
Some temptations are impossible to resist.
Lukas arrives before sunrise with a car full of boxes and a past he has no intention of discussing. The quiet neighborhood seems perfect for disappearing. Until Hannah. Beautiful. Married. Curious. The kind of woman who smiles too easily and asks exactly the wrong questions. Lukas should avoid her. Instead, he finds himself watching her, thinking about her, fighting impulses he thought he buried long ago. Because getting close to people has never been safe around him. And Hannah has no idea what kind of man just moved in next door.
