Into the Abyss!

Blair takes a breath before stepping through the doorway. Like walking through a glitched wall in a videogame, the closer her face got to the illusionary doorway, the more pain and pressure she felt behind her eyes. Once through, the pain and pressure vanished, leaving her slightly bewildered by the dimly lit room in front of her. 'I should have closed my eyes before stepping through.' She shakes her head before carefully looking around. Caesar was sniffing the ground while walking toward a pedestal in the center of the room.

She felt an eerie presence as she walked forward. As she looks around, she notices that the border of the room is circular. 'This room is amazingly clean... Huh, I wonder where the light is coming from.' As she approaches the pedestal, an odd object slowly comes into view. It looks like a tuning fork, but it has a set of tines at each end. 'Seriously? This is all that's in this room?' When she reaches for it, Caesar begins to bark, and the room darkens. Conversely, when she pulls her hand back, the room returns to normal. She looks around then casts Observe on the strange object.

She tilts her head slightly. 'Ah, fuck me. I'm not sure what it means, but I have a feeling this was Ln'eta's.' Caesar whimpers softly while looking at the pedestal. She blinks then looks at him before crouching. "Aww, it'll be okay Caesar. Nothing bad will happen." He walks over to her while whimpering and bumps the top of his head against her stomach. She smiles softly and rubs his back gently with both hands. "Aww, I love you too." She watches him for a moment. Sadly, his tail is tucked in between his legs. "How about we get something to eat after this?"

His tail lifts completely up and begins to wag rapidly. He jumps up, knocking her on her back and licks her face several times. She giggles, gently rubbing his chest and the back of his neck. "Okay, okay. Now let me up. I need to finish what I came here for." He nuzzles his muzzle against her cheek before backing up. She slowly sits up before brushing herself off. She gently touches the tip of his nose with her pointer finger then stands up. She reaches for the weird tuning fork again.

She hears weird whispering all around her when her hand gets closer than last time. The darkness thickens and those whispers grow louder as her hand approaches the object. When she finally touches it, an intense rush of cold courses through her body. A notification appears in the center of her view for a split second, but it is soon too dark to see it at all. That was when she noticed the whispers had gone silent as well. She looks around. There was nothing. Nothing at all in any direction. She gently stamps her right foot, but even that resulted in nothing. Not even a sound. She wasn't afraid, but this situation was still eerie.

It was as if she had walked into an endless abyss without any hope of escape. 'This is so creepy.' She glances at the weird tuning fork. It was clear that something had happened to her upon touching this weird object. It didn't look like there was any way out, but there had to be if there was a way in. She sighs softly while using a mental command to put the weird tuning fork in her inventory. Upon doing so, the darkness fades and the notification from before becomes visible.

As she reads that, Caesar nuzzles against her right leg excitedly. She looks down, noticing he was acting like she had been gone for a while. 'Hmm, I guess I experienced this spell's effect.' She gently caresses the top of his head. "It's okay. I'm fine. Really." She uses a mental command to open her inventory to look at the new item she acquired. Its name was sǝuı⊥ ɔıʇoɐɥƆ s,ɐʇǝ,u˥. She tilts her head as far to the right as she can while continuing to rub Caesar's head. 'I think that says, Ln'eta's Chaotic Tines...'

Although she expected something to happen, nothing did. She lets out a huff. 'I'll have to look at it more carefully later.' She stands up straight before glancing at Caesar. "Are you ready to go?" He barks while looking at her. His tail wagging excitedly. She giggles and gently pats his side. "All right. Let's get going then." They begin leaving the room. However, she briefly feels that weird presence from earlier. She glances around the room, but there is nothing there. 'I must be getting paranoid.'

The feeling lingers as they exit the circular room. Upon reaching the other side of the illusionary doorway, Ellinor glomps Blair, sending them hurdling to the ground. She holds onto Blair tightly. "That felt like an eternity! Are you both okay!?" She starts to kiss Blair's forehead then kisses along her neck. "If it hurts anywhere, I'll kiss it and make it better." Caesar runs around and barks twice, acting like they might be ready to play. Blair was quite surprised by this affectionate ****, taking 15 damage from the fall. "The only thing that harmed me was this little fall, but I'll be fine in a mo..."

She was silenced by Ellinor kissing her lips lovingly. Two sweet minutes went by as their lips and tongues danced with one another's, their bodies intertwining in a loving embrace. Ellinor pulls back a little. Her hands slowly running down Blair's back. "Mm, I didn't mean to hurt you, Blair. I was just overwhelmed by emotion when you came back out." Blair carefully brushes Ellinor's dead straight blonde hair back. She leans in and tenderly kisses Ellinor's lips a few times. "Don't you worry about that. I'm lucky to have you in my life, Ellinor."

Ellinor's cheeks turn bright red. Her score flashes but can't rise any higher than 200. "I'm the lucky one." She lays her head gently on Blair's bosom. "May we just lie here for a little while?" Blair smiles and kisses the top of Ellinor's head. "Yeah, let's do that." Caesar tilts his head while watching them moving from side to side before crouching down. A minute later, he gets up, growling for a few seconds before barking at the illusionary doorway. Blair looks at Caesar. "What's wrong boy?" Why is Caesar acting this way? Is something dangerous coming? Or is it a blessing in disguise?
