Chapter 3

Interesting Class
As Patrick walked into his first class of the second day of school, he couldn’t help but smile at his two friends that were sitting in the desk beside him and the one behind him. In the desk beside him was Sara Rose and the desk behind him was Asa O’Reilly. They had found out the day before that they were in the same math class and they didn’t waste any time finding desks near each other.
As Sara saw Patrick enter the room, she smiled at him and stood up and moved around her desk. Asa stood up as well and made her way to Patrick as well.
“Hey girls. What’s up?” Patrick asked.
“I thought we could take a selfie to commemorate the beginning of our senior year. Plus, it will help make all of the girls that have been checking you out jealous.” Sara said.
“I don’t mind taking a selfie, but I doubt it is going to make many girls jealous.” Patrick said.
“Oh, how little you know my friend. All girls are looking for a guy like you. The guy that will treat a girl right and make them feel special. I can say that you check both of those boxes even though we are not a couple. You treat Sara, Madison, Lacey, and me really well.” Asa said with a sweet smile on her face.
“If you say so. Let’s take this selfie then.” Patrick said and the girls got on each side of him and leaned their heads on each of his shoulders and they smiled as Sara took the picture.
“Wow, this is a great picture. Thanks Pat.” Sara said as she was about to go back to her desk, but she could help but pick on her friend a little bit, so when she stepped back a bit with her arm still around Patrick, she looked at Asa, who seemed to be having the same train of thought that she was, both lowered their arms low enough for their hands to be on each of Patrick’s butt cheeks and squeezed them hard.
Patrick about jumped out of his skin in surprise and he looked over at Sara who just smiled at him and winked and then he looked over at Asa who blew him a kiss. The three teens then made their way back to their desks and sat down as their teacher walked into the room and greeted them.
“Good morning class, I hope you are ready to learn today. I will try and make this as fun as possible.” Ms. Storm said as she spoke to the class.
“Don’t worry Ms. Storm. Your classes are always interesting.” Austin Rusk said from the other side of the room.
Sara rolled her eyes at the smart ass backup quarterback for the school football team. She just couldn’t figure out why anyone would think that he was cool. She didn’t know how Austin and Aurora Rusk could be twins and be so different.
“What a jackass.” Sara said quietly and Patrick and Asa couldn’t help but chuckle quietly.
Patrick knew that Austin was right though. Even if the class wasn’t fun, most guys would be fine in the class and some of the girls as well. Ms. Storm was very easy on the eyes and had a hell of a body, so if nothing else, most of the students had no problem being here with the hot teacher.
“So, did any of you have a chance to look over what we will be learning about today?” Ms. Storm asked.
A few people raised their hands and in that group were Patrick, Sara and Asa. Ms. Storm nodded and started her lesson knowing that some of the students were going to be a bit ahead of the others, so she started off easy so that everyone could catch up.
Once the class was nearly over, Ms. Storm wrote the homework up on the board and allowed the teens to do what they wanted until the bell rang. The teens decided to talk to each other for the rest of the period.
“Well, I don’t think this class is going to be too hard.” Sara said.
“No. If it is anything like today, we will be fine.” Patrick said.
“Yeah, I hope it stays this easy.” Asa said as she saw someone walking their way.
“Jackass incoming.” Asa said quietly and the two others looked the way that she was looking and saw Austin approaching them.
“Should have known that your group was going to try and show up the rest of us by looking over the chapters early.” Austin said.
“Well, Ms. Storm did tell us to look it over yesterday.” Sara said.
“Do you always do what you are told?” Austin asked.
“Nope. But why wouldn’t we do our homework like we were supposed to?” Asa asked.
“Because it was the first day of school.” Austin said.
“Well, we will do things our way and you can do things your way. I don’t see why this is a problem for you.” Patrick said.
“It’s a problem because it makes me look bad when you overachievers do more than is necessary. Same thing goes for Cole. That asshole took my starting spot when he isn’t even that good.” Austin said.
“He is obviously better than you are, but how about you talk to him about this to his face and not behind his back.” Asa said.
“That son of a bitch is not better than I am. He just got lucky.” Austin said, getting fed up with these people.
“If you say so. Be gone jackass.” Sara said as she waved Austin off.
“Bitch.” Austin said under his breath as he turned around and walked off, but not before Patrick could say something first.
“Hey jackass. Apologize to Sara now or I will have Mason give you a couple of hard hits during practice today.” Patrick said.
Austin turned around red with anger, but he did apologize because he knew that Patrick would do what he said he would. “Sorry.” Austin said quietly as he turned and walked off.
The three teens busted out laughing because they knew that Austin knew he was going to be in some pain at practice if he didn’t apologize. Sara then turned to look at Patrick and smiled.
“See. That’s what I am talking about. You always take care of us girls. You are a good guy and any girl would be lucky to have you.” Sara said.
“I just don’t know if I want a relationship right now, though.” Patrick said.
“Well, let the girls know that. Some of them will stay around until you are ready, or maybe they aren’t ready for a relationship either and you can just hang out and have fun.” Sara said.
“I guess you have a point there. Any girls that you have in mind for me? I don’t think that many see me in the way that you say they do.” Patrick said.
“Maybe you should just start out with people like Asa, Maddie, and me. That will get your feet up under you and get you used to going on dates. After that you can branch out a bit.” Sara said.
“Yep. I think that is a good idea for you, Pat. I would say start with either me or Sara. You and Maddie are so close that people think you are together anyway.” Asa said.
“Okay, I will let you two decide who is going out with me first. Just let me know.” Patrick said.
“That’s a no brainer for me. Take Asa out first.” Sara said.
“Okay. So, where would you like to go?” Patrick asked as he looked back at his blonde friend.
“Dinner and a movie would be fun. Is that okay with you?” Asa asked.
“That sounds great. So, let’s say Saturday night. I will pick you up at six?” Patrick asked.
“Sounds good to me. So, what do you want to do when it is your turn, Sara?” Asa asked.
“I don’t know. I will think about that and let you know.” Sara said.
“So, you aren’t looking for a long term thing right?” Patrick asked as he looked back at Asa.
“Nope. I am just looking to have fun. I am in the same boat as you. I am not ready for a steady relationship.” Asa said.
“That’s cool. I think this is going to be fun.” Patrick said.
Asa then leaned forward and whispered into Patrick’s ear. “You have no idea.”
This sent a shiver down Patrick’s spin because he had a feeling that he knew exactly what Asa was talking about. Patrick shook his head to clear it, but images still popped into his head at times.
He looked back at Asa and she was giving him her sweet smile but he saw right through that. Sara couldn’t help but laugh at the two of them. “She said something naughty to you didn’t she?” Sara asked.
“I will not confirm nor deny that.” Patrick said.
“Oh, don’t be shy Patrick. She is going to tell me later anyway.” Sara said in her sweetest and flirtiest voice.
“Fine. Yeah she did.” Patrick said.
“Play your cards right until we go on our date and you might get some special treatment from me as well.” Sara said quietly enough so that only the three of them could hear it.
“Fuck. You girls are going to be the **** of me. At least I won’t have to deal with that with Maddie.” Patrick said.
“Oh please. I have seen things changing between the two of you for a while. I give it to Halloween at the latest before the two of you are fucking like rabbits.” Asa said.
“What? It isn’t like that with us.” Patrick said.
“Keep telling yourself that, Pat. Maybe one day you will believe it.” Sara said and Patrick was about to reply when the bell rang for the end of the class.
The teens got up to leave the room and said their goodbyes as they went their separate ways.
