Important Announcement

Hello everyone, I once again have an important announcement to make. Two, actually.

The first is that I am finally going to start crossposting this story elsewhere, something I have been meaning to do for ages now but kept putting it off. And the more I procrastinated the more daunting it became... So I'm just ripping off that bandage now.

Specifically I am aiming to put it on Scribble Hub (profile & story), AO3 (profile & story), Questionable Questing (profile & story) and Literotica (profile & series/chapter grouping). I'll also be editing the old chapters as I post them on those other sites, fixing spelling / grammar and possibly rewriting the occasional sentence or paragraph. The story as a whole will remain the same, as I really do not want to shoot myself in the foot with a small change that butterfly effect's itself into a pain in my ass, but some inconsequential details may change.

Admittedly, this part of the announcement is actually a little premature... because I am already behind on it. I meant to get the story up on Saturday/the 20th but couldn't find the time due to being busy with irl stuff... And, to a lesser degree, the second part of this announcement. (More on that in a moment). I'll also make a quick authors note on the next chapter I release once they're all up (hopefully I can do that by ch233).

I expect it to take about two or three months for the crossposted stories to catch up to this one. The early chapters will be both easier (because they're shorter) and harder (because they'll need more editing) but I figure that I can get at least three out each day (on each platform. So nine, technically). This should be 'done' before 2026 begins. Which is pretty ambitious considering how many chapters I already have, and the fact that I will still be writing and uploading new ones here the whole time. Hopefully I don't burn myself out with this. RIP what remains of my free time. (Oct28) Due to all the various issues I've had with crossposting this... it will not get caught up by the beginning of 2026. RIP my attempts at keeping a schedule... Maybe I can go for Feb. 20th? The 'anniversary' of this story being posted here on CHYOA?

As for the second part of this announcement... I have created both a SubscribeStar and a Patreon account. For joining either of them you'll be able to read six chapters ahead of what I post here. I'm also considering doing some polls to determine which characters I should write sex scenes for, mostly just so I don't have another chapter 200-215 situation (which was between Krvavy getting the job offer and Beryl's Dryadification): personally, I'm not happy with how it felt like I was just checking the girls off a list and putting some slice of life filler in between each of their sex scenes. If/When I do these polls, I will also have a free one as well (done through strawpoll, most likely) but weigh the votes less than SubscribeStar/Patreon, so don't worry about me completely ignoring anyone who doesn't pay me ;P.

If anyone is interested you can join the Patreon as a free member (through the '...' menu. It is 'hidden' there because I am an 18+ creator and thus am on a tight leash), though that will get you absolutely nothing and only serve to make my page look less abandoned. Maybe I'll figure out something to give free members eventually (maybe a collection of supplementary stuff, like all the stat sheets in one place, weapon art, character images, etc...?). And if there is an interest in being a free member, I can also add that as an option for the SubscribeStar page as well.

I honestly don't expect all that much from either platform, as I am a relatively niche writer on a relatively niche website and am not by any means 'big'. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least set them up. Probably should have waited until I had established myself on some larger sites, but... Well, I'm not the smartest person around. Plus, in my defence, I thought it'd take longer for my pages on both SubscribeStar and Patreon to get approved, as I always see complaints about that being a long process. For some reason, it took less than three days for them both to be approved, with Patreon only being ~6 hours faster (going by the email they sent me). Which may have spooked me into actually getting them up and running...

Anyway...

As a bit of tertiary news, I also plan on creating another 'story' that will be available both here and as an HTML/Twine 'game'. I have no real idea on when that will come out though, as the crossposting process will take up most of the time I would have used to work on it... Still, it will be something much more suited to chyoa, so I figured I'd mention it here.

Thanks to anyone who bothered to read this rambling 'announcement', and thank you to everyone who has ever read even a single chapter of this story. Each like really does mean the world to me and I read every single comment even if I have a horrible track record with actually responding to them. Just knowing that people are out there using their own free time to (hopefully) enjoy my work does wonders for my self esteem.
