IR Day 15 - A new Team

It feels like it’s your first day of camp again, but not in a good way.

Team… culture is a thing that you never thought about before, but now you have to. You’re on a whole new team and you are not in charge. The first night goes by in a blur of misery and Ingrid trying to comfort you with texts. In the morning… you have to face reality.

Karin is awake, bright and early. The haughty, busty blonde is big on noise and bluster, but not on follow through. You know that she’s a great athlete, but her team doesn’t seem to take her very seriously. You sit up with a groan, rubbing your face as the cabin starts to come to life.

Karin smiles at you as she struts by in her ludicrously lacy nightgown. You take a deep breath and look around at the others. You haven’t really started to get to know them yet.

You already know Ela and Lena a little bit. Ela is a Polish girl with dyed green hair and weirdly sultry energy. Lena is a slightly butch, gay, Eastern-European girl and the two of them are clearly in a relationship. They don’t take the PDA beyond heavy making out, but you’ve been on this team less than a day and you’ve already seen a lot of that.

The weird, Finnish girl is in the bed next to yours. She’s insanely skinny, and also a little creepy. You know Sadako from The Ring? Same energy. They call her Red, for some reason. She sleeps in black shorts and a shirt.

You get a view as Siu sits up and yawns. She’s a pretty, sensible girl from Hong Kong. Her simple, cotton panties and undershirt are understated but sexy. Cheryl, a petite, blonde American strolls by with her toothbrush as Lena kisses Ela on the cheek before heading for the showers.

Mai emerges from the bathroom in a towel. She’s from Japan. She’s tall, strangely assured, and she has the kind of figure that most girls would die for… but she seems serious, and not very conscious of it. People don’t talk about Mai much, but she’s one of Yellow Team’s better players. You feel like she might be a little more focused on the game than some of these others.

Azu arrives at your bed. She’s from Peru, and while she isn’t the prettiest girl at FUTA, she’s the only one on the team who seemed to give a damn last night that you were suffering. Everyone else welcomed you, but she actually offered some support.

“You OK?” she asks, rubbing your shoulder.

You nod.

“It’s OK,” Syd says, walking over. She’s American, about your size and shape, and Yellow Team’s only Black player. “You can handle it, Riley,” she assures you. She wears an adorable, matching boyshorts and sports bra combo in red, white, and blue.

“I know,” you say, watching Tina, the Canadian girl strip down and head for the showers. Two weeks ago, seeing all these new girls naked and stuff would’ve been so exciting.

But you just want your team back.
