III. Rituals and Customs

There are many different religious rituals and customs of the Church of Jocasta. As of this writing, I have only been able to document several of them in adequate detail to publish here.

The first ritual I will cover is the coming of age ceremony. It is traditional that once a firstborn son turns 18 and officially receives his status as Alpha, it will be his mother who is the one to bring him to the master bedroom and take his virginity.

The second custom is one common to nearly all cultures and religions: marriage. In the following section, I will go into detail on the most common marriage ceremony within the Church of Jocasta, involving the union of a mother to her son.

The final custom I will examine is the Oedipus and Jocasta Festival, an annual holiday celebrating and reenacting the lives of these important figures.
