“Sounds good to me, my shout,” he said. He picked up one of the menus before adding, “Unless you want to eat something else?”

I laughed, “From what I heard, it would be a meal,” I told him.

He smiled again, his teeth gleaming, “Clara told you a lot. So what about Mark? You think he will get suspicious?”

I picked up one of the menus and started looking through the options, quietly moaning at the touch of his foot. “He trusts me,” I said simply.

“Good,” he said. “So when Mark is away for work, I will visit you regularly, and I expect you and I will catch up even when he is at home.”

“I think I will have the pasta,” I said, listening to his words but not responding.

He looked up at me over his menu, “I will also push you in other ways. Do you like yogurt?” he asked.
