What Does Blaze Say?

I Fulfilled Their Desires

"I fulfilled their desires," the demon spoke quietly, but dark sparks flickered at the corners of her eyes. "And in the fullness of time I will receive payment due. Please don't misunderstand me, Lois. Whatever else I may be, I have my place in the scheme of things. When I am approached with a deal..."

"You have to take it?" Lois raised an eyebrow.

"There are limits, stipulations, both physical and metaphysical. I'm not some djinn, rub me and get three wishes." The demon toyed with one breast, rolling a bright red nipple between thumb and forefinger. "But yes, if a soul is offered freely, and what they wish is within our power...we must accept."

"No temptation at all? Why aren't you perfectly innocent." The reporter narrowed her eyes. There was a bead of something on the nipple, some fluid. Could the demon be...no, Lois decided. Impossible.

Blaze's smile was nasty. "Oh, there are temptresses in the pit—you have no idea how small some people's ambitions are. Demonic skanks who have convinced mortal men to sell their souls for a blowjob. And there are those who crave making 'sales'—the more souls, the more power, the more power, the more deals to make...a vicious cycle which leads to a great deal of competition."

She released the nipple, which had begun to extrude a thin, grey fluid, and deftly licked it from her fingers. Lois watched the whole exchange with a strange fascination. "But I do not whore myself out. I accept those that come to me."

"And I'm supposed to take your word for it?" Lois struggled to keep her voice even, and not betray her fascination as the long tongue sucked the thin greyish goo from the fingers, or the heavy swaying drop that still clung stubbornly to the erect nipple...

"Tell you what," Blaze leaned across the table. "Why don't I show you?"

Lois blinked, forcing herself to meet the demon's eyes. "Show me what?"

"The women. The missing women you're so concerned about. I'll show you exactly how they're doing. You can even talk to them if you like. And when you're satisfied..." The demon let the statement trail off into a wicked smile. "Well, we'll see."
