Hunter and Joey's Lives

Hunter woke up and stretched. She looked up then sat up. She was in a small bedroom with two twin sized beds. The room was a mess with clothes everywhere. She jumped out of bed. She only wore panties and Los Angeles Ram jersey that was too big for her. There was a poster of Harry Styles ont he wall and some photos of her and Joey, but she did not remember taking any of them. There was a table and mirror between the beds, and it was full of makeup.

She walked out of the bedroom and saw she was in a small apartment. Joey was sitting at a small foldable table in kitchenette. Joey was reading a book titled GED for Dummies.

"Joey?"

"Oh, hey, sis. I can't believe you talked me into this."

"Where are we?" asked Hunter.

"What do you mean?" asked Joey.

"Where are we?"

"Are you being mean to me again?"

"No, I just want to know where we are and how I got here."

"If this is some mean trick, I'm telling mom! I know you're smart, and I'm not, but you don't have to play mine games."

"Mine games?"

"Yeah, you screw with my brain."

"Mind games."

"Yeah, that."

"And you can't make fun that I've failed my GED five times."

"Five times?"

"Stop it! I'm telling mom!" Joey picked up a cell phone.

Hunter looked around. There was a cheap looking couch in the living room. A coffee table, a TV on the wall and some really tacky art.

"Mom wants to talk to you!" said Joey.

Hunter walked over and took the phone. "Mom?"

"Are you making fun of your sister again?"

"No, I...it's...I woke up, and we're in this dingy apartment."

"Well, what do you expect? You move to L.A. and the best you can do is get a job at Hooters. You know Joey is special and none of us like the fact the only way she can make money is through prostitution, but she's been fired from every job she's had due to incompetence, and at least she's happy she can earn money. She's dim, very dim, we all know that, but do not take out your frustrations on her. Now be nice!" Hunter's mom hung up.

"You're a prostitute?"

"Of course, and Daddy Ricky says I can start keeping more money as I'm the best cock-sucker in his staple."

"Stable."

"Whatever. If I pass this GED, maybe I can get a real job. You gonna help me study?"

Hunter pulled back a chair from the table and sat down. She did not know what to say.
