Chapter 60 by Somburliss Somburliss

How's the rest of your cruise?

Humiliating but educational

The cruise lasts several days, and you spend all of them following Gina around as her pet cat while she socializes with various groups of people. On one hand, being brought around like a pet is a brand new form of humiliation that you desperately hope you’ll never get used to. You’re a human being! This isn’t right!

On the other hand, Gina cares for you like a prized possession, making sure you’re never hungry or thirsty. She brings you with her to the spa, to any shows she attends, and she always cuddles you tightly when she sleeps. She’s sure to show you off and brag about you to everyone she talks to, even though the passengers deal such brutal blows to your pride that you’ll probably be licking the wounds for the rest of your life.

But aside from all of that, Gina discusses pokemon battles with some trainers throughout the cruise, and from listening to her, you gain some valuable insight into battling. For instance: There’s such a thing as Steel-type. You remain skeptical of this one because you definitely don’t remember that type ever existing. But, more importantly, Magnemite is allegedly Steel-type as well. If this turns out to be true, apparently your Fighting-type pokemon, Mankey, is actually good against it. Even though punching metal hurts. It all sounds fishy to you, but Gina was the one saying it and she seems like a pretty good trainer. Since you know how to command Mankey now, maybe it’s worth a shot…?

Gina stares down at you, the saddest look in her eyes, as you both stand in her room. Well, not you. You sit in her room. Because you’re a cat, supposedly.

“The cruise is almost over…” she pouts. “I guess that means you have to get dressed and stuff…” She hands your dress and panties to you, then looks away in a huff. You hurriedly change in her bathroom, wanting nothing more than to regain the status of normal human being. When you walk out, you’re met with a crude, unwelcoming stare.

“I hope you learned your lesson. You’re nowhere near my level, and you never will be if you spend your days as the verbal punching bag of a bunch of rich people. Now get out of my room, Emilia. I’m not some charity.”

You’re practically shoved out of her room by **** of will alone, the door locking tightly behind you. Armed again with your backpack, pokemon, and phone, the very first thing you do is check social media for some of those quotes to make you feel better about yourself. ‘You said you liked storms, so I let you in. Turns out you can only handle a little rain, and I am a hurricane.’ Yeah, you’re a hurricane! Never mind the fact that you just got handled like a housecat, not a hurricane. You’re still… Maybe you need a different quote…

Where to next?
