Hosting a movie night

Candace had finished cleaning and tidying up her apartment for her movie night. Some of her friends were coming over and she wanted everything to be ready before she came.

"Ahyy!...Ahyyy!" She groaned, jumping as she stepped on a thumbtack with her bare foot to land on another thumbtack onto her bare bottom.

"It hurts...oh" Candace groaned in pain, to which she knelt down to remove the thumbtack from her butt.

"Ahh...if only I could wear shoes" she muttered angrily as she checked the sole of her bare foot and removed the thumbtack.

Since Candace was born, she was forbidden to wear clothes or shoes because of her mother (something Candace would never tell her mother, she loved her mother very much and had no heart to tell her), accidents like these being common for her. Although her soles had hardened over the years, stepping on sharp objects was a painful experience for her.

Candace sighed to go to her chair. She was exhausted and she was looking for the pair of thumbtacks to finish tidying up everything, at least now she had found them.

She sighed to grab a small piece of paper where she had marked off for the night.

"Uff now that it was missing..."
