Home finally

Jessica, winded, soiled, and slightly scintillated, fast walked the empty though the alley that led to her home.
Some strange second sense told her that something was off.
Jessica's heart dropped as she beheld the open door, which swayed lightly in the wind. The first sign something was wrong. Her eyes darted around, looking for signs. The lantern was still lit inside. A poor second sign. Panicked, Jessica rushed in, the entry room was clear, but she could see blood on the ground, and soft noises coming from the other room.
