Who finds the pills?

His sister

Lucia had been out at soccer training all morning. She was hot, sweaty and tired, and sick of being second best. She had to walk eight blocks to get home! Eight! All because perfect Valentino had some stupid speech or something. Honestly, they all knew he never tried, and yet they never missed a single word. Meanwhile, her soccer games, where she played her heart out and got herself nearly killed on the regular? They hadn't shown up to one.

Dragging her feet up the stairs, Lucia fumbled about with her spare key, cursing her stupid, perfect brother for making her have to use the key in the first place. She was just about to go inside when her boot sent something clattering to the ground. She picked up the jar and turned it over in her hands, listening to something rattle inside. It was made of white glass, wrapped in a deep blue label, though there were no words or logos printed anywhere. What there was, however, was a piece of paper sticky-taped to the bottom with her brother's name on it.

Her expression soured. Of course, it would be Valentino. Probably some secret admirer bringing him gifts. Well, he didn't deserve the gifts he was given, Lucia thought. But she certainly did. She pocketed the jar and let herself inside.

She sat down at her desk, safe in the privacy of her room, and gently unscrewed the lid. A few white pills tumbled out. She sniffed them. She licked them. She turned them over and over in her fingers. A glance at the clock told her that her brother and parents wouldn't be home for at least four hours, if not six. So, hesitantly, Lucia lowered one of the mystery pills towards her mouth and washed it down with a swig of water.

She waited a moment. There was no reaction. No tingling or euphoria or energy boost. She just felt as hot and tired as she was before. She desperately needed a shower. Sighing, she hid the rest of the pills underneath her underwear, where she knew her brother would never look, and headed off to the bathroom.

As Lucia got into the shower, she felt her stomach rumble, and an ache setting in like she'd eaten something wrong. The lukewarm water suddenly felt scalding against her skin, her legs were shaky, forcing her to lean on the wall to stop herself from collapsing. But soon her strength returned, leaving her breathless and **** to escape the shower. She didn't even turn the water off before bursting onto the bathroom floor, panting.

On the floor, she could feel her body burning with new energy, yet her bones felt like jelly. She looked down at herself, her naked body dripping water onto the cold tile floor, and knew that something was about to change.

What changes?
