Himself and a Disastrous Misclick

He clicked on his own name and a sentence generated right in front of his eyes. 'Alex Chiba is wandering around the mall looking to buy a personal computer.'

'This app may truly be magical if it knows this much on what I am doing right now.' Alex thought to himself. 'Let's do a simple test run and see if this really works.' He said before hovering his finger over the sentence. He tapped the screen and as he did so his clumsy fingers accidentally placed the cursor right after his name and added the letter 'A' to it.

Not wanting to accidentally turn himself into a woman if this truly was genuine he absentmindedly went to delete button but due to his poor hand-eye coordination, he never had the makings of an athlete for many reasons including that, he accidentally pressed the DELETE button as well as ENTER. The ENTER took precedence over the DELETE button and so this was the new sentence: 'Alexa Chiba is wandering around the mall looking to buy a personal computer.'

Alex was annoyed at first, uttering a silent 'fuck' under his breath, but not fearful as he still didn't believe the 'Reality Edit App' would truly live up to its name. That false security only lasted for a few seconds however as he felt something strange happen to his body. It was a sensation unlike any other, a sudden rush of change that started from his fingers and toes, and rapidly spread like wildfire up his arms and legs, across his torso, and into his face. The sensation was a mix of tingling and heat, a feeling that grew stronger with each pulse of his racing heart.

Trembling with a mix of curiosity and panic, Alex felt his body morphing before his very eyes, his reflection in a nearby store window revealing the impossible transformation. His tall, lanky frame shrank into a more delicate form, the angles of his face softening and his skin taking on the porcelain hue of Rae Lil Black, the famous Japanese American adult film star whose image had been splashed across his college dorm walls countless times. Panic began to set in as he felt the fabric of his pants tighten around his waist, the pressure building in his crotch as his body continued to transform. The mall had not stopped moving around him. The shoppers passed by without noticing a thing. Curious on if even their memory of him had changed Alex, now Alexa, moved inside the coffee shop and questioned if Veruca remembered her. Her response? "Yeah, I remember you. You're the one focused on your phone, right?" she said without missing a beat, pouring a cup of coffee for another customer with the elegance of a ballet dancer.

'Reality truly had changed even retroactively.' Alexa thought to herself stunned.
