High striker

The wheel did a couple rotations until it finally landed on a wedge labeled "High Striker."

"High Striker?" Emma said, puzzled. She turned to Spiral. "What's that?" Spiral was waving in some PAs who were moving in a smaller wheel towards them.

"You know that carnival game where you try and sweet a hammer to hit a bell? It's that." Spiral answered.

The PAs also brought out a large item covered by a sheet. Spiral ripped the sheet off, and sure enough, it was a tall column with a bell at the top and a place to hit it at the bottom. A hammer was rested against the contraption.

Spiral once again grabbed Emma's chain and started to drag her to the device. Emma quickly caught up but not before Spiral started painfully tugging. She followed until she was at the base of the second wheel.

"Spin the wheel for the number of points you need to make. Hit the striker and try to get that number of points. Simple." Spiral said.

"You don't look excited," Emma said.

"I'm not. We both know this is just a formality. These challenges were designed with all manner of contestants in mind," Spiral said. "We didn't expect a super strength one right off the bat."

"Hmpf," Emma smiled.

She rubbed her hands together before spinning the wheel. She didn't even look. She grabbed the hammer before it stopped and the second it was done she turned into her diamond form and slammed it against the cushion as hard as she could. The piston went flying straight up and hit the bell. A loud gong rang out in the studio.

"4," Emma said to Spiral as she threw the hammer back at her.

Author's Note: I'm learning that physical challenges are not only shorter but I have less to say in the author's note. Be honest, how many of you knew the name of that hammer thing before this chapter?

Also this fake out was great for resetting my work timelines. Every time I do a poll and have to close it after 24 hours it pushes back when the next chapter gets started and finished. Having this in the chamber with no audience participation allows me to avoid that for a little bit longer.
