Heroic rescue... almost

Slipping into the darkness you crouch down, pausing to allow your eyes to adjust to the dim light. Looking around to spot dangling nets, if you had winged in here you would have flown right into those nets. No doubt that is what happened to Ben and Tina, creeping over to the edge you peer down into the great rotunda. Noting the fancy tiled patterns on the floor far below, the columns and bits of broken statue's littering the edges. As you stare down you can see flickers of light coming from one side, picking your way along the edge you come to a open spot. A old red painted metal door, pulling it open you discover step leading down. Slowly and carefully you climb down them until at last you find a open doorway, the door has long since rotted away. Stepping out you find yourself in the rotunda, a ground walker guard is sitting on a break pedestal not far away. Luckily his back is to you, as he peers up at the nets hanging high above. It is plain that he is here watching for someone like you to come winging in, putting your crossbow aside you take out your knife. Moving up behind him slowly you, you grab him from behind placing one hand over his mouth. You quickly pull the edge of your knife over his throat, feeling the hot blood spray onto your hands as he quickly dies squealing into your palm. Laying him down you look him over, noting his bow and other weapons.

Off towards the light you can hear the echoes of gruff laughter, as well as muffled high pitched screams. Grabbing your crossbow, you slowly head in that direction, knowing that it was odd there would be only one warrior watching the trap. You follow the hallway away from the rotunda, down to a big square open room there a fire flickers in a old barrel. A figure can be seen standing in the hall peering around the corner, the second guard had sneaked back here to watch the fun. Moving up behind him you drive your knife into his kidney, and then pull him back farther into the darkness to finish him off. Before taking his spot at the corner, peeking into the room you see what is happening. Ben is locked in a makeshift cage, rope wrapped around his body as he struggles impotently. Six grounder have Tina held down, they are laughing and joking as the take turn's on her body. You can hear her screaming into the gag on her mouth, as these vile beasts **** her body. Luckily for you they are totally distracted by their awful actions, and have pretty much disarmed themselves.

You spot a battered old military rifle leaning against the wall, if you can get to if you should be able to kill them all. Lifting your crossbow you point it at the slavers as you edge forwards, them are enjoying the show of one of their number rutting poor Tina. So they don't notice you at first, you are moving slow and carefully not wanting to make a sound. "Hey we should let Grun have a go..." One of the grounders snorts standing up to walk across the room, suddenly his eyes widen as he spots you. 'Twang.' Your crossbow hums as the bolt hits his chest with a solid 'Thump', the slaver's mouth opens and he staggers backwards clutching his chest. The others look at him in shock for a long moment as you grab the rifle up, even as their attention turns towards you. Two of them freeze in shock, just staring at you in wide eyed horror. The one abusing Tina hasn't even noticed you as yet, the other two instantly grab for weapons. Lifting the old rifle you fire, 'Bang Bang Bang' it roars as three round fire with a single pull of the trigger. This surprises you, but not as much as the slaver your aiming at as two of the three bullets hit him making that body slump. And then there is screaming as they all start to react, even as you fire the rifle wildly, killing three more of them quickly. When suddenly the gun 'Clicks', it seems that you are out of cartridges. Swinging the old rifle like a club now, you beat the last slaver over the head as he attacks you.

When suddenly the door leading outside burst open, and a huge monstrous figure comes lumbering in. The creature is huge with a light green skin, its body covered in makeshift armor made from bits and pieces. In its huge hands was a club that was easily longer than you were tall, as you turn to look at it the slaver your fight screams. "Get him Grun!" Now you know who they were talking about earlier, you know just from looking at him that you don't stand a chance fighting Grun on the ground. The only good thing you see is that Tina has freed herself, quickly you call for her to flee out the open door. You watch as the naked and still dipping Tina makes her escape, at least one of your Wind riders has gotten out. As you spread your wings, dodging out of the way as the massive mutant swings his club at you. You focus on the fight in front of you, hoping that you will find some way to win.
