Her question

I'm sitting in the living room feeling...well... a little odd, why you ask? Mostly due to the fact that Starfire is sitting next to me fidigeting and looking at the floor.

"Um....Star? Are you ok?" I ask as I gently lay my hand on her knee. "hu...Freind John? Do you not like us?" She ask me with a sad sigh. This blows me for a loop. "Why would you ask something like that Starfire? I dont understand."

She sighs again before sniffleing slightly. "I-it's...jsut that when you talk to Freind Jinx, you have such love in your eyes....and...and you use the pet name.." She looks up at me with tears barely restrained. "Do...do..Freind Raven and I...not hold a place in your heart as well?"

I quickly embrace her in a gentle hug. "NO..no..That's not it at all Starfire." She nuzzles into my chest slightly "Then....do you...love us as well?" She mumbles out quietly as she presses herself closer into me.

I smile warmly at her innocense and stroke her hair gently. "Of course I do...my starshine." She push's away and look's up to me quiskly. "W-what did you call me?"

I scratch my head to hide my embarasement. "Um...I called you...My Starshine, cause...you kinda.." I smile nervously to her. "Well you light up the room with your smile, and your additude makes me happy. If you...dont like it I can think of something else."
