What happens when she lives on the land?
Her clothes fall off
Soon enough, the three loaves Mary brought with her were quickly eaten up, and she was forced to make do with the grapes and fruit that grew in the desert.
This, of course, made her lose weight, which made her clothes too big for her. It didn't help that the desert sun baked the fabric and made it brittle, and the course of time made holes that ended up expanding until her clothes became tatters and disintegrated.
This was perfectly fine for Mary, who no longer had concern for her body as such, and who in any event lived all alone in the wilderness. This was until, one day, she heard a noise of someone walking towards her, and panicked and jumped into a bush to hide.
